Midi issues

Having recently inherited a KN5000 keyboard, I have tried unsuccessfully to get  midi out from the midi out socket. I have followed the setup instructions to the letter, but maybe I have missed something. I am monitoring output with Midi Ox using a connector cable that I know works, and it seems to indicate that there is no connection to the keyboard. Any suggestions welcomed.

Did you select midi devices to open ?

If youre PC is Win 7 or later maybe your driver will not be recognized (personal experience)

    Was the MIDI Connection successful?

I couldn’t resist this challenge and happy to say connected my KN2600 to a Windows 10 with a USB to MIDI cable. MIDIOX displays the output when the notes are pressed.

i used all the KN MIDI default settings except in the MIDI—>Part setting page 1, I changed Right1,2 and left to Channel 1,2 and 3.

To get MIDIOX primed up I clicked the Player button. Instantly this said I didn’t have a midi device configured.  When I selected the MIDI from the devices it sprang to life. nd after that MIDIOX started displaying the note events.
