Good Morning Everyone,

You’ll notice a new item on the menu today. Namely, “Downloads” which I’ve started off with the comprehensive SD Card utility SD-Techmanager7000 (for KN7000 & KN2600).

I’ve brought the tool bang up-to-date with Windows 10 compatibility patches, so it is ready to go. For those of you who have been using floppy disks this will be a huge leap. And if you haven’t transferred MIDI files to your keyboard on SD Card before, this is a really straightforward utility for doing that.

It also manages Favourites, Backup and Restore and a multitude of other things.

The installer package also includes a conversion tool for players who have a KN6000 or KN6500 with a hard drive (not many of you I’m sure).

Here’s a thought for those who have an SD-capable keyboard as well as an older model. Putting Styles onto an SD Card doesn’t change them, it just stores them. So a potentially good way of keeping files organised for older models is to use a utility such as SD-Techmanager7000. Each folder holds a ‘floppy’s-worth’ of files, so you can easily organise hundreds of floppy disks onto an SD Card. Even if you aren’t going to use the SD Card in a KN3000 (say), it is a great storage medium.

An Article about Techmanager7000 is coming soon (as well as some items for those who don’t use SD Cards!).

Best wishes,
Mike

    Hi @jalli

Unfortunately not. I’ve been in touch with the developer many times over the years but they have discontinued 7001 and are not planning any release.

    Best wishes,
    Mike

Thanks Mike, I’m hoping this will solve my problems my formatting problems between my computers (Mac OSX & Windows 10) and no kind of compatibility I found so far?
